Essential Question:
1)Who was FDR? (Write a summary of your three most important facts.)
-The 32nd president Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR). A democrat with a can do attitude. FDR was elected times, serving just over 12 years before he dies. He also had a disability which people called "a cripple," and was diagnosed with polio.
2)Who were FDR's carefully picked advisers, and why were they important to the president?
-FDR's carefully picked advisers were called, "Brain Trust" which consisted of professors, lawyers, and journalists. They were important because they helped the president strategize the New Deal.
3)What was The New Deal?
-The New Deal were polices that were created by FDR and the "Brain Trust" to come back from the Great Depression.
4)What three goals did The New Deal attempt to address?
 -Three goals the New Deal addressed were: relief for the needy (people who need essential things), economic recovery (more jobs for people), and financial reform (back and stock market recovery/improvement).
5)What was the first action FDR took as president?
-The first action FDR took as president was establishing a bank holiday. During the bank holiday they had inspectors search and the healthy banks were able to reopen and the unhealthy banks closed down. He also persuaded he congress to pass the Emergency Banking Relief.
